NYC

So, I am back at work and back in New York City. What can I say about my journey to Dallas other than I am glad to be back!!!! I enjoyed seeing my mom and my friends, Kim and Aaron, but I felt absolutely no connection to anything in Dallas. For one thing, I felt like I had never even been in Dallas before. I did not know where anything was anymore. Dallas has changed so much as far as growth. Granted, all the businesses are chains and big businesses but hey at least there are new jobs for the folks of Dallas. I thought I would be overcome with nostalgia in Dallas. But, those feelings never really materialized. Who I was when I lived in Dallas many years ago is a stranger to me. I never have considered ever moving back to Dallas. But, this trip did open my eyes to just how great my life is in New York City. Sure, I may be making less $$ that I would in another city but I believe my happiness is worth that sacrifice.
